  4. Tufin Expands Its Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program

Last updated February 15th, 2023 by Pamela Cyr

It’s no surprise to any of us in the industry that according to a recent article in IT Pro Portal, organizations use more than 70 different security vendors. This exacerbates the already complex IT environments that our customers are responsible for managing.  In fact, one of the biggest challenges our customers face is the complexity associated with manually orchestrating security policy between disparate technologies.

Interoperability and the need to seamlessly connect all these technologies – and doing so through automation – is a must.

Tufin’s Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program answers a critical, industry-wide need. By using Tufin’s public APIs, partners can seamlessly integrate solutions to deliver business agility and security. The program, which launched in April 2018, allows partners to build integrations very fast, while opening a new avenue to meet customer demand.

Today, we’ve announced the expansion of the program to include five new partners, Cortex XSOAR, Efficient IP, Fortress, Infoblox and Splunk Phantom.  Demisto and Splunk Phantom are part of the existing TAP use case Security Orchestration and Automation (SOAR). Efficient IP and Infoblox are part of the IP Address Management use case. Fortress extends Tufin’s value with a Vulnerability Management use case.

We welcome our newest TAP partners and look forward to helping our joint customers see value from our integration with these use cases:

Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR): Integrating with Tufin’s SecureTrack gives Demisto and Splunk Phantom users the view inside network policy and the topology of the network. Analysts can use this information in automatic playbooks or for further human analysis by displaying relevant information directly as an artifact.

Looking at the benefits of both partnerships individually, joint Demisto and Tufin customers can combine SecureTrack’s knowledge of policy and topology with the analysis capabilities of Demisto in order to respond to threats faster and make informed decisions during incidents. Splunk Phantom and Tufin customers benefit from SecureChange’s automation capabilities to respond to an incident.

IP Address Management: EfficientIP and Infoblox will supply SecureTrack IP and organizational information that can accelerate the creation and updating of Unified Security Policy Zones. These dynamic updates ensure that the network policy on devices is in alignment with the current state of the network.

Vulnerability Management: Fortress’ platform is now enabled with Tufin’s network visualizations, network device information and network configuration details. Joint customers can easily manage the lifecycle and vulnerabilities of IT, OT, IoT, and IIoT assets, and can instantly identify whether vulnerabilities are accessible by threat agents. Other benefits of the partnership include unified reporting of all assets and configurations, visualized threat scenario modeling, contextualized remediation prioritization and one of the most advanced tools for security operations centers. There is also a variety of reports designed to monitor compliance of vulnerability identification and remediation on critical assets and vendors (i.e. NERC, CIP, etc.)
