Simplifying Task Management for Users and Administrators

SecureChange is designed to make security changes easier for everybody involved – from the end-user making the request, to the manager who has to give approvals, and especially for security administrators. SecureChange combines a convenient, Web 2.0 interface with special security-intelligent productivity tools to simplify the many steps involved in a security change.

End-users: Making and Tracking Requests

For users, the Request form includes a special Access Request field that is populated with the relevant information about the organization’s network. It also allows re-use of common access requests.

This improves communication between business users and the security team, and increases the likehood that the request will be implemented correctly. Once a task is submitted, users can track the status of all of their tasks at any time.

Administrators: Managing Tickets throughout the Lifecycle

From the moment a ticket is submitted, SecureChange provides administrators with the ability to track it throughout the change lifecycle, including:

  • Sort and view tickets according to date, assignment, requestor, and more
  • Request more information
  • Reject tickets
  • Reassign tickets
  • Set an expiration date for the request
  • Return tickets to be redone

In addition, SecureChange provides tools to help administrators through every stage of the workflow, including risk analysis, policy change design, SLA tracking, and verification.
